Franklin D. Roosevelt was a pretty bad ass President if I do say so myself. Bill Murray is a pretty bad ass...just...person in general. So when I found out Bill Murray was playing FDR...well...just...it's amazing really. The film in which we will see such a perfect pairing is
Hyde Park on the Hudson, which focuses on Roosevelt's affair with his cousin, Daisy, during a weekend in 1939 which marked the first ever visit to America by a British monarchy when King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visited FDR's upstate New York cottage. L.A. Noire, you should be interested in
Gangster Squad, which focuses on the real-life cops in 1940's LA who were tasked with bringing down notorious gangster Mickey Cohen, who's played by Sean Penn. I gotta admit, Emma Stone looks absolutely stunning, and the time period of the film is pretty fantastic also. Also starring in
Gangster Squad are Josh Brolin, Nick Nolte, Michael Peña, Anthony Mackie, and Giovanni Ribisi.
