THE AVENGERS 2 Already In The Planning Process

Did you really think that Marvel would stop with The Avengers? If you did, then you must be some sorta special type of stupid. Speaking at New York Comic Con this weekend, Marvel Studios' President of Production Kevin Feige talked about the future of Marvel films. I'm sure you all expected it, but Iron Man 3 is a part of what Kevin Feige calls "Phase Two of this Avengers Assemble talk." Hit the break for more news about who else may be a part of The Avengers 2.

After The Avengers, we can expect a brief post-credits scene, as Marvel has done after all their films. Who may we see next? Well, first off, let's start with what we know. At this moment, there is no set date for The Avengers 2, but it will be coming after Iron Man 3 (May 3, 2013) and Thor 2 (November 15, 2013). With this, there's also Captain America 2 as well as spin-offs for characters such as Black Widow, Hawkeye, and possible S.H.I.E.L.D.

But there is more. Marvel's non-sequel, non-spinoff films consist of Ant-Man, The Inhumans, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Ant-Man has been in pre-production for a while, and should be a pretty simple fit as far as The Avengers 2 goes. As for The Inhumans and Guardians of the Galaxy, well, I'll put it like this. These two groups are teams. The Avengers are a team. Feige has said that if those two movies make it all the way to the finish line, then they shall be a team-movie such as The Avengers. Needless to say, Marvel is planning BIG. Marvel hasn't done wrong in my eyes yet, and from the way things sound, things will only get better and better.
