Numerous Quick Tid-Bits

  • Netflix's plan of using Qwikster is over before it started. It'll all remain one company. Smart move. Netflix is also in contention to air the new Arrested Development series and is working on obtaining the rights for Reno 911! Netflix also has inked a deal with AMC to stream The Walking Dead, while also making deals with IFC, Sundance Channel, and WE TV.

  •  Doug Jones, who's known for his role as the Faun in Pan's Labrinth, has been added to the ever-growing list of actors in Neighborhood Watch. He will be playing a party-crashing alien. Should be right up his alley.
  • For those of you who watched the show Prison Break, this one will interest you. Dominic Purcell will be playing Satan's main sidekick in Alex Proyas' Paradise Lost. The cast is looking epic. The director is pretty epic. The poem itself is epic. Needless to say. This will be epic.
  • Sony Pictures have obtained the rights of the soon-to-be-published biography Steve Jobs. This comes as big news with Jobs' recent death, and it's only fitting that a second movie should show his rise to being one of the most influential men in technology, and in history.
  •  Aaron Eckhart has been cast as Frankenstein's monster in the adaptation of Kevin Grevioux's comic I, Frankenstein.  The film is slated to open February 22, 2013.
  • Next up in the new James Bond film James Bond 23, Helen McCrory and Ben Whishaw. No details on their roles, just the fact that they've been added. Also, a new Bond Girl has been added, French actress Berenice Marlohe. Also no news on her role. The film will star Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, and Ralph Fiennes. It will be released November 9, 2012.
